摘要
This paper presents details of the design, construction and performance of an on-board oil monitoring device for automotive applications. The sensor can measure the rate of deterioration of motor oil based upon any one standard criterion of water content, TAN or pH, additive depletion etc. The sensor is rugged, inexpensive and should be an important item to provide a condition based indication of the maintenance intervals.
