摘要
At present scenario with the increase in load demand, a need for voltage profile enhancement, minimization of line losses and thereby increasing system overall reliability has increased enormously. Nevertheless, increasing the generation capacity of existing power station is limited due to various environmental and economic constrains which consequently calls for precise assessment of locally optimized solution. In this paper, the distribution system is reconfigured by simultaneous deployment of Renewable Distributed Generation (DG) and Distribution Flexible AC Transmission System (DFACTS) for the system voltage profile improvement, reliability and reduction of the line losses. A Modified Firefly Algorithm (MoFA) is proposed to procure the optimal location and size of DG and DSTATCOM (Distributed Static Compensator) considering improvement of voltage profile, reliability and line losses reduction. To increase the computational efficiency, performance analysis for optimal allocation of the devices is conducted only at the weaker zones of the system. Revamp Voltage Stability Indicator (RVSI) is used to identify the weakest zone/lines and the corresponding receiving end buses are identified as the weak bus. Voltage Profile Improvement Index (VPII) enhances the voltage profile. The real and reactive power losses are reduced by implementing Line Loss Reduction Index (LLRI). The proposed algorithm is compared with two other algorithms such as PSO (Particle Swarm Optimization) and GA (Genetic Algorithm). Result indicates MoFA exhibits better convergence rate, time and solution quality. The proposed approach is to be tested in IEEE 69-bus radial distribution system.
