A numerical and experimental study of a circular-slot antenna, fed by a coplanar waveguide with a rectangular stub, is proposed in this paper for ultra-wideband communications. The antenna impedance bandwidth, phase linearity, gain and radiation patterns are presented, together with the time-domain impulse response. (c) 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
