摘要
The goal of this paper is to review the inflow of foreign direct investments (FDI) in the new EU member states from Central and Eastern Europe in the first decade of EU membership. The selected sample consists of 8 new member states of the EU from Central and Eastern Europe that entered the EU in 2004. The data for our studies comes from the UNCTAD global FDI database. The results of the analysis show that an increased FDI inflow can be observed mainly in the first half of the first decade of membership. All sample countries experienced an increase of FDI inflows after the EU accession, but the Visehrad four countries were the most successful new member states.
