摘要：

The field of Assistive Technology education has very short history in Slovakia. In the past was usually education connected with Assistive Technology oriented on simple compensation tools for health management. This education was and still is provided for student of faculty of medicine and also for students of pharmaceutics faculties. Compensation tools included in this study fields were oriented on daily 4 living activities and on health care stabilisation, and management. There is no information about advanced Assistive Technology for work with information and communication technology. Nowadays there are several options for acquiring the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to practice in the area of Assistive Technology in Slovakia.
