A 3D chiral Zn(II) complex based on achiral ligands 2-(1H-imidazolyl-1-methyl)-1H-benzimidazole and adipate

摘要
A novel 3D chiral complex, [Zn(adi)(0.5)(imb)](n) (1) (Himb = 2-(1H-imidazolyl-1-methyl)-1H-benzimidazole, H(2)adi = adipic acid) has been synthesized by solvothermal technique. X-ray diffraction analysis indicates that complex 1 consists of two kinds of channels with left-handed helical chains and one kind of zigzag chains. The channels and chains are connected through sharing Zn(II) centers to generate a 3D chiral complex. The TG analysis shows that complex 1 possesses great thermal stability. The fluorescence property of complex 1 has been measured in the solid-state at room temperature. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
