THE ERGONOMICS AND THE ENVIRONMENT OF WORK: reflections on the ergonomics contributions in libraries

The ergonomics studies the adequacy of the work to the man and can contribute among other things to the improvement of processes, productivity, work environment. The ergonomics in environment of libraries still is a field of study that has much to contribute to what concerns the practices of the workers. In this direction, this article aims to carry out through a theoretical research how the ergonomics relates to the environment of libraries and which are the contributions it can provide. First, a theoretical incursion into the foundations that support the study and finally, some reflections on the physical and environmental aspects of libraries are done.
