摘要：

During recent years, water-home technology has shown highly significant advances, and, in many cases, the performance obtained is better than that of solvent-borne coatings. Examples ore given where water-home coatings have given excellent protection in extreme environments for general metal, heavy duty, marine, and a wide variety of other applications. In Europe, the use of waterborne coatings for steel has had little effect when compared to other markets, and reasons for this are given.
