摘要
Optically good quality single crystals Of L-argininium formate (L-Arg.HCOOH abbreviated as LAF) of dimensions up to 11 x 8 x 6mm(3) are grown employing slow evaporation technique at room temperature. These crystals were characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, Fourier transform infrared and UV-VIS NIR spectral studies. The thermal stability of the crystal is investigated using thermo-gravimetric analysis studies. The hardness anisotropy of the sample is confirmed by Vickers hardness studies done on (100), (010) and (001) orientations. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
