摘要
A 1(sic)4 array antenna with reduced ground plane is designed and simulated in this manuscript. It is composed of 2(sic)2 rectangular patch connected by lambda/4 microstrip feeding line. Parametric study of width of the feed line is carried out to obtain maximum impedance matching and best parameter value. FR4_epoxy substrate of dimension 90x134x1.6mm3 having relative permittivity of 4.4 and dielectric loss tangent of 0.02 is used to design 1x4 array patch antenna. It covers wideband frequency range from 760MHz to 2.48 GHz with impedance bandwidth of 1.72GHz. Array performance is determined by different simulated antenna characteristics such as return loss (< -10 dB), peak gain (13.8 dB) and radiation patterns. The proposed array can be used for long range Zigbee applications.
