摘要
Considering the nature and complexity of electrical/electronic product materials, their energy consumption, and the e-waste they create, sustainability should be included in their design and innovation. This study examines the benefits of eco-friendly laptop computer innovations that allow users to leverage multiple features to co-develop green electronics products that achieve premium performance. Using conjoint analysis, the authors identify the relative importance of various attributes of laptops, as perceived by users. The most important attribute of laptops is price, followed by battery, shell, central processing unit (CPU), monitor, storage device, and keyboard. The most preferred combination of attributes for an eco-friendly laptop consists of median price, solar battery, alloy-based shell, multicore CPU, LED monitor, SSD storage device, and recycled paper keyboard. Various standards, such as energy savings, waste recycling, pollution prevention, and compatibility, can be derived from these attributes to develop new functions and modules. By reflecting on the utilities of certain attributes, computer manufacturers can increase user value, improve waste management, reduce energy consumption, and advance their electronic product development efforts.
