摘要
The modem society is focusing on certain unique properties that are seen in the natural fibers reinforced sisal composites. These composites possess unrivaled properties such as high strength to weight ratio, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, toughness, recyclability, eco-friendly. Even though with these properties, they still got detracted because of their issues associated with the machining that leads to the depletion in the material properties. There are several machining processes that are carried out on composites, and one such prominent process is drilling. This paper focuses on the drilling process and its parameters, such as drill bit diameter, spindle speed (rpm), feed rate (mm/min). The ANOVA and Gray regression analyses were carried out to understand the effect of torque, delamination and thrust force on woven sisal fiber-reinforced polymer composites. The natural fiber composite were prepared using a conversational compression molding technique. The results show that by selecting the optimum machining condition the quality of the drilled hole can be improved. (C) 2019 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
