摘要
O-temper AZ31B Mg sheet was deformed under large-strain tension/compression. The effects of twinning and untwinning, which are responsible for asymmetric yield and hardening evolution, were revealed by metallography, acoustic emission (AE), and texture measurements. Predominant deformation mechanisms were revealed: basal slip for initial tension, twinning for initial compression, and untwinning for tension following compression. A working model consistent with microscopic and macroscopic behavior was constructed [1].
