摘要
Fabrication of a suitable photocatalyst which can efficiently propagate catalytic properties in visible spectrum has always been a challenge. Novel nanocomposites LaDySn2 O-7/SnSe as well as the individual components of the composite were fabricated via the hydrothermal route. The structural, textural as well as optical characteristics of the fabricated sample were obtained by various techniques such as powder X-Ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy dispersive X-Ray spectroscopy (EDX), X-Ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and UV-Visible spectroscopy. The Photocatalytic performance of the as fabricated samples was determined by the degradation of Direct Indisole blue dye in visible light illumination. The obtained outcomes of photodegradation indicate that the nanocomposite endows enhanced photocatalytic activity as well as reduced electron/hole recombination as compared to the bare LaDySn2O7 and SnSe. Moreover, the structural stability of the photocatalyst was also observed after five consecutive runs.
