摘要
The aim of this study was to manufacture zirconia periodic open cellular structures (POCS) (39%-57% porosity) and evaluate their mechanical properties. Zirconia POCS with 39%, 47% and 57% porosity were obtained from a CAD/CAM blank using a CNC milling machine. Specimens with a feldspar-based porcelain infiltrated in the porosities were also produced and tested. The elastic and inelastic properties of the all samples were obtained by compression strength tests. The structures were analyzed using XRD and SEM. FEA was also performed to evaluate the porous structures and for optimization. Zirconia POCS were successfully produced using a CAD/CAM technique. Porous size and distribution can be easily modified to tailor the desired POCS mechanical properties. Elastics and inelastic properties were well fitted by the Gibson-Ashby model, which allows designing POCS with predictable results.
