Mathematical Modeling of Thermal Fields in a Fragment of the Lining of a Rotary Kiln

摘要
A new design of lining for rotary kilns is described and is compared with existing linings. The thermal field of the lining is calculated for both cases by using the software Ansis 14.0 Fluent and AnsinICEM 14.0. A comparison is also made between the thermophysical characteristics of the new lining and existing linings and recommendations are given on the areas of application of the former.
