摘要
In this paper, the design, simulation, and measurement results of Fano, EIT, and Lorentz-based filters and duplexer suitable for 5G applications and beyond are presented. The duplexer action is achieved by using Fano, EIT, and Lorentz type bandpass filters. Both filters are tuned to resonate at different frequencies to achieve desired band selection and isolation. The simulation frequency of the duplexer structures is 28 GHz to 32 GHz 5G mm-wave band. A scalability analysis was performed to determine the suitability of filtering characteristics from 2 to 300 GHz. The scaled downed version was fabricated and measured. The Fano-based duplexer attained the passband attenuation of 2 dB with isolation of more than 30dB. The proposed filters and duplexers are planar in nature, have a small feature size, can be manufactured in the standard CMOS process, and are suitable for 5G mm-wave applications.
