摘要
With the development of computer and Internet technologies, the product development and design based on Web are popular increasingly. The product data exchange between heterogeneous CAD and PDM systems is a crucial issue for the integration of product development systems. An efficient product data description and exchange mechanism is needed. This paper introduces an XML-based description methodology for the product data that support mass customization. A XML document structure model for part data was proposed, and then the data mapping between XML document created from CAD system and class object of PDM system was presented. Finally, a framework structure of integration between a CAD system and a PDM system was presented, and various functions were discussed as well. The suggested methods have been applied successfully. The results indicated that it is efficient to integrate heterogeneous, distributed CAD system and PDM system.
