摘要
The design and calculation of an electron optics system for a Ka-band extended interaction klystron was described. A cylindrical electron beam with voltage 25kV, current 2.5A was generated by a convergent Pierce type electron gun and was confined by a uniform permanent magnet focusing structure. The design was accomplished by using the 2-D gun code EGUN and 3-D gun code Opera.
