Very short range forecasting of the dynamics of atmospheric fronts based on Meteosat data

摘要
A method for the analysis and very short range forecasting of the dynamics of atmospheric fronts based on the use of images from the geostationary Meteosat is studied. To validate the programs implementing these algorithms, data were used which were obtained as a result of interactive processing of a series of images in the visible and IR bands. This approach can also be applied for other data: images of cloud cover, acquired from polar satellites; pictures of the cloud-cover distribution based on synoptic maps from weather radars.
