摘要
This paper presents a finite-element model updating methodology using noisy incomplete measurement of the natural frequencies and mode shapes with applications to damage detection. The proposed method does not require matching between the measured and calculated modes from the finite-element model, which is in contrast to most of the existing methods. Furthermore, the proposed iterative scheme is computationally efficient without nonlinear optimization programming. A ten-story building and a three-dimensional braced frame are used to demonstrate the proposed approach with applications to damage detection.
