Oxidation behavior of CFRC and C/C using diphenylborosiloxane

摘要
Diphenylborosiloxanes (PBS) with different content ratios of Si and B were synthesized by changing the compounding ratio of materials. The formation situation of surface coating film and effects on oxidation resistivity of carbon fiber reinforced ceramics prepared with varying types of these PBS and of C/C composites with PBS coating were examined. With CFRC, thermogravimetric analysis showed a starting temperature of weight loss that shifts upward with increasing boron content of PBS, indicating improved oxidation resistivity. Similarly, the PBS coating improved the oxidation resistance of the C/C composite.
