摘要
Radiation dosage monitoring becomes a fundamental problem for both patients and operators, where the ionizing radiation can give detrimental effects for health and heredity. This paper presents hardware, software, and system implementation to develop a personal radiation dosimeter by applying wireless sensor networks. A sensor node consists of a pocket radiation sensor Geiger type 5, an Xbee series 2, and an Arduino microcontroller. The software consists of three components, i.e. software for initial setting of Xbee namely XCTU, data processor for Arduino microcontroller using C++ programming with the Integrated Development Environment (IDE), and data acquisition system built by using Lab View.
