Synthesis, optical and morphological characterization of MPA-capped PbSe nanocrystals

摘要
This work focuses on the synthesis and characterization of 3-mercaptopropionic acid capped PbSe nanocrystals (NCs) using an aqueous synthetic protocol. The synthesis was carried out at room temperature and resulted in uniform NCs. The as synthesized NCs were characterized using photoluminescence spectroscopy, HR-TEM and X-Ray diffraction. They showed a perfect Gaussian peak at 1203 urn with average diameters of <= 3 nm and diffraction patterns consistent with rock salt structure of PbSe NCs. (C) 2013 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
