摘要
A lot of blackouts happened due to power system instability. Most of the attention of power system operators and researchers is exploited towards voltage stability. In Egypt, due to the intense increase of load side compared with generation side, the power network suffers from severe voltage instability, especially in distribution side. This paper introduces a study on a real portion of Egyptian distribution system (New Thebes City Network), and shows the impact of installing a TCSC on voltage stability enhancement during the ill-conditioned cases. The study is performed using the commercial NEPLAN software.
