摘要
Aluminium oxide displays a very low tan delta at microwave frequencies. It also possesses a remarkably high thermal conductivity, ideal for heat dissipation in high power satellite filters. However, its temperature coefficient of the resonant frequency (tau(f)) is approximately -60ppm/K. It is shown that the application of a film of titanium oxide which has a tau(f) of opposite sign (450ppm/K) produces a composite in which the tau(f) can be tuned to be zero over a wide temperature range. The tan delta of the composite at zero tau(f) is 3.3 x 10(-5) (Q = 30000) at room temperature and at 10GHz.
