摘要：

The hydrography, evolution, landscapes, and hydrological regime of the mouth area of the Shatt al-Arab River-the terminal part of the channel system of the Euphrates and Tigris rivers-are considered. The effect of natural and anthropogenic changes in the Euphrates and Tigris regime and the regime of the Persian Gulf of the Indian Ocean is evaluated.
