摘要
This study proposes a line-start permanent-magnet synchronous motor (LSPMSM) with a simple rotor topology. The proposed motor comprises a stator with a pole-changing winding, and a permanent-magnet (PM) rotor with consequent-magnetic poles. In the proposed motor, the PMs are mounted on the rotor fabricated by using a solid iron. A small-scale prototype machine was manufactured and the transient and steady-state performance were investigated through experiments. The results showed that the proposed motor enables a direct on line starting from a power grid and offers a good steady-state performance.
