Modeling of textures and yield surfaces during recrystallization in IF steels

A Monte Carlo technique was used to simulate primary recrystallization. and grain growth of IF steels. In order to consider anisotropic properties of grain boundary energy and grain boundary mobility, functions of boundary misorientation were introduced. Taylor factor was used to consider stored energy as a nucleation driving force of deformed polycrystalline materials. The site saturated nucleation condition showed more similar recrystallization texture with the experimentally measured one than the continuous nucleation condition. The yield surface of IF steels was calculated by coupling a visco-plastic self-consistent (VPSC) polycrystal model with a Monte Carlo technique. The evolution of yield surface for partially recrystallized IF steels can be evaluated.
