TIME-DOMAIN ANALYSIS OF LIGHTNING TRANSIENTS OF HIGH-SPEED RAILROAD

摘要
In this paper, the lightning-caused transients on the highspeed railroad power transmission system and lightning protection system (LPS) are simulated in the time-domain. The LPS and power transmission of the high-speed railroad are mainly thin-wire structures with both above-and below-ground part. In order to solve the whole thin-wire structure without having to separate them, the modified mesh current (MMC) method proposed by the authors previously ( 1)[ 2) has been used to simulate the thin-wire structure in the time domain. We first studied the wave propagation on one single tower, and then the whole thin-wire structure was analyzed using the MMC method. Results show that, under a 10-kA lightning current, the voltages on the ground wire, on the AF line, and on the T line are about 125-kV, 64-kV, and 61-kV, respectively. Finally, the influence of the soil resistivity is analyzed, the results indicate that the voltage peak value increase almost linearly with the increase of soil resistivity.
