摘要
The pervasive computing systems inside modern day automobiles are made up of hundreds of interconnected, often replaceable software components. In-vehicle multimedia components and applications are becoming complex artifacts due to advancement in technology and increased competition. There is a growing need for software platform to enable efficient deployment of multimedia services in automotive environment. This paper presents a software framework, mCAR, to support component based development of pervasive multimedia applications. The framework is scalable and configurable. The framework is aimed to run on an In-vehicle infotainment platform to support efficient management of available multimedia resources.
