摘要
The present study compares the influence of S(+)-ketamine during 60 minutes of total intravenous anaesthesia (TIVA) induced either in combination with etomidate or propofol on the endocrine (i.e. cortisol and ACTH levels) and cardiovascular reaction in 8 healthy young volunteers using a cross-over design. Despite statistically significant differences between the three anaesthetic procedures, the measured cortisol and ACTH levels remained within the physiological limits, and so did the heart rate and mean arterial blood pressure. The results confirm our hypothesis that the combination of S(+)-ketamine with etomidate or propofol produces positive synergetic effects regarding cardiovascular stability and endocrine function.
