摘要
The aim of this work was to demonstrate the variability of silymarin complex isolated from milk thistle [Silybum marianum (L.) Gaertn.] achenes. The silymarin complex was determined in 63 different samples of two home-grown varieties (Silyb and Mirel) originating from various environmental conditions and different years of harvest. The samples were analysed by the means of a reference method using HPLC (high performance liquid chromatography). The obtained results indicate that the year of harvest had statistically significant influence to both the amount and the composition of silymarin complex in the samples of the Mirel variety. The situation was similar for the samples of the Silyb variety, except of the isosilybin B component.
