Electron donor-acceptor interactions of C-60 with tetraphenylphosphonium and tetraphenylphosphonium halides

The charge transfer complexes of the fullerene C-60 With organic electron donors are a new class of interesting and promising materials. A review of the donor-acceptor complexes of C-60 is presented. The vast part of the paper is dedicated to analysis of the electronic spectra of neutral and reduced fullerene. The main part of the paper shows the spectral properties of the complexes of the general formula (Ph4X)(2)C60Y.
