Synthesis, characterization and luminescent properties of palladium complexes with 3-(2-pyridyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole-5-acetic acid ethyl ester

摘要
The synthesis, spectral characterization and luminescent properties of palladium(II) complexes with 3-(2-pyridyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole-5-acetic acid ethyl ester (HL) have been described. The compounds Pd(L)(2) and Pd-4(L)(4)Cl-4 center dot 2DMF were prepared by refluxing Pd(HL)Cl-2 in DMF. The pathways of their formation were investigated using H-1 NMR spectroscopy. The molecular and crystal structures of Pd-4(L)(4)Cl-4 center dot 2DMF were determined by means of single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis. The triazoles in Pd-4(L)(4)Cl-4 center dot 2DMF were found to act as bidentate ligands bridging two palladium centers in two different Ways, so the molecular structure consists of tetranuclear units of palladium ions. The luminescence properties of the ligand and its complexes were discussed. (C) 2015 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
