摘要
A compact and high gain of circular super-wideband (SWB) antenna is proposed in this article. The proposed antenna has a design of basic circular patch with partial ground and a copper reflector to realize gain and bandwith enhancement. The significant feature of this design is the cautious manufacturing of the feed line with additional of two microstrip lines between the patch and the feed line. The antenna demonstrated return loss less than -10 dB started from 5.7 GHz until more than 40 GHz where the proposed antennas could be applied for applications operated in higher frequency bands than previous UWB systems. Dimension of 20 mm x 30 mm and a peak gain of 9.79 dB made it as a compact and high gain UWB antenna. The antenna has an excellent radiation efficiency of 95% (higher than 70%) and fractional bandwidth of 144%. The patch is directly connected with SMA connector through 50 Ohm mirostrip feed line through side feeding. The proposed antenna has great potential to be applied in human microwave imaging due to great wide of bandwidth, high gain and compact size.
