摘要
The number of students who reach senior year but fail to graduate can exceed the number of students who have dropped out earlier in their high school years. Yet, little research has focused on the reasons why students who have gone so far stumble on the last lap. Based on their study of dropouts at one Delaware high school, the authors organize these nongraduating seniors into four groups: the lackadaisical, the overwhelmed, the strugglers, and the surprised.
