摘要
Magnetic and magnetocaloric effect of polycrystalline Pr-0.55(Ca0.75Sr0.25)(0.45)MnO3 compound have been studied extensively. Temperature dependent magnetization study reveals that the ferromagnetic transition takes place at T similar to 220 K and an antiferromagnetic transition appears at T similar to 150 K. Associated with the ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic transition, large normal and inverse magnetocaloric effect of the polycrystalline Pr-0.55(Ca0.75Sr0.25)(0.45)MnO3 compound are observed. Magnetocaloric effect of that compound is addressed by considering the competing nature of ferromagnetic metallic and charge ordered antiferromagnetic insulating domains at the low temperature region.
