摘要
Various issues related to microwave reflectometry addressed at the seventh International Reflectometry Workshop for Fusion Plasma Diagnostics (IRW7) held at the Max-Plank-Institut für Plasmaphysik in Garching, Germany, in May 2005 were discussed. The workshop reported simulation studies of both optical and synthetic imaging, which show the limitations of imaging as well as demonstrate the possibilities of alternative techniques such as single-antenna synthetic aperture and multi-antenna measurements. It was found that Doppler reflectometry works well for quasi-coherent fluctuations where the decorrelation time is longer than the convection time. The effects of refraction and absorption was found to be a particular challenge for the main profile reflectometers on next generation of machines such as ITER.
