Millimeter-wave components are typically expensive to fabricate. This prevents small- and medium-sized enterprises from entering millimeter-wave industries. Therefore, we have developed an additive manufacturing (three-dimensional (3-D) printing) technology as a cost-effective method for the fabrication of waveguide components in the W-band. This report details how a fourth-order Chebyshev bandpass filter was fabricated based on polyamide 11 and conventional nickel electroless plating and copper electroplating technology. This filter had a bandwidth of 7.2 GHz and an insertion loss of 1.4 dB at a center frequency of 87.75 GHz. We confirmed that our proposed method facilitates cost-effective, lightweight, and easy to manufacture millimeter-wave components.
