摘要
In electric drives, the lifetime of power electronics stage is highly worsened using command signals from the speed controllers. The degradation of the power electronics lifetime poses earlier faults which results in the good operation of the electric drives which significantly influence the industrial process. Thus, the power electronic stages of the controllers are generally over designed and thereby reduces the overall performance. In the electric drives, the power electronic components functioning on high switching frequencies in driving high electric power to achieve the expected mechanical references in electric brushless DC (BLDC) motors. In this aspect, this study devises an efficient metaheuristic optimization based fuzzy controller for BLDC lifetime expansion, called MOFC-BLDC technique. The MOFC-BLDC technique's objective is to optimize the network design of the fuzzy logic system. Furthermore, the MOFC-BLDC method has developed an objective function based on speed and reference temperature. Moreover, the inclusion of speed response of the motor and the temperature in the objective function helps in adjusting the fuzzy logic (FL) controller to maximize the lifetime of the power electronic stages. In order to optimally choose the membership functions of the FLC, the Cross Entropy based Butterfly Optimization Algorithm (CEBOA) is used. A wide range of simulations was carried out to highlight the improved outcomes of the proposed MOFC-BLDC technique. The experimental results pointed out the supremacy of the MOFC-BLDC technique over the recent state of art techniques. Copyright (C) 2022 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
