Ultrasonic nondestructive through transmission testing of concrete

摘要
This research is focused on conducting an experimental study, in which the non-destructive through transmission testing technique was applied to concrete specimens. Six cylindrical and nine cubic specimens were cast with water-to-cement ratio of 40%, 50%, and 60% and appropriate variations in cement and sand quantities. The 28-day cured concrete specimens were tested using through transmission technique both inside and outside of water. The test results obtained in both ways of testing were compared and discussed in order to examine the P-wave velocities and attenuation in concrete. Fast Fourier Transformation of the captured wave signals was also performed.
