摘要：

A cobalt coordination polymer with the formula of {[Co(L-1)(pa)]}(n) (1) (L-1 = bis(4-(1H-benzo[d]imidazol-1-yl)phenyl)methanone, H(2)pa = phthalic acid) was synthesized under solvothermal condition. It was characterized by infrared spectroscopy, elemental and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Crystal 1 is monoclinic, the space group is P2(1)/c with the unit cell parameters a = 8.1394(2), b = 25.7199(5), c = 15.1719(4) angstrom, beta = 117.554(2)degrees, Z = 4; R-1 = 0.0405 and wR(2) = 0.0953 (I > 2 sigma). In 1, [Co-2(pa)(2)] bridged by pa(2-) anions are linked by four adjacent L-1 ligands and form 2D layers.
