摘要：

In recent years connected health has emerged as a major area of focus in the healthcare sector due to the increased number of smartphone subscribers and internet users worldwide. Combining these users with big data analytics technologies can benefit both patients and providers in a substantive way. This paper gives a high-level overview of the industry, opportunities, some of the recent developments in connected health, and a quick look at some of the challenges and social implications.
