摘要
In recent years, the computerized adaptive testing (CAT) have been gaining highlight due to innumerous benefits obtained through their application, e.g. customized and adapted tests according to each respondent's proficiency, arousing scholars' interest on the topic. The diversity of studied subjects in scientific production have been increasing considerably in the last decades, since there are different technical aspects to be taken into account according to each context when applying the tests. This paper identifies the profile of these studies and the research gaps still available for advancing in the assessment's perspective. Through an extent literature review in various databases, it was identified and discussed technical and relevant characteristics related to CAT, methodological trends, academic productivity, softwares and platforms used for CAT, and research gaps, serving as basis for further research in the area.
