摘要
The total solubility and protonation constant of acetaminophen were determined in aqueous solution in different experimental conditions of ionic strength (0.12.0 mol dm(-3) NaCl) and temperature (20-35 degrees C) using a combination of potentiometric-spectrophotometric method. Using the pCH of dissolution and the protonation constant determined in the same condition allowed us to calculate the solubility of neutral species of the drug at different ionic strengths and various temperatures. The enthalpy and the entropy changes of dissolution and the protonation constant were determined at different ionic strengths using temperature variation method. The values of solubility and the thermodynamic parameters for dissolution and protonation equilibria of acetaminophen were also determined at zero ionic strength using a Debye-Huckel type equation and discussed on ionic strength and temperature.
