摘要
The foundations of the modern concepts of universal human rights have evolved out of centuries of economic, political and ideological conflicts in the west. There are variations in implementing human rights issues in Asian countries. However, increasing awareness about these issues is evident in the establishment of National Human Rights Commissions in India and Thailand and the greater concern shown by psychiatric care institutions in this region on human rights issues.
