Synthesis of blue-violet light wavelength metal (II)-azo complexes and their absorption and thermal properties

摘要：
Some kinds of metal (II)-azo complexes with blue-violet light wavelength absorption were synthesized using a diazo component, a coupling component and different metal ions (Cu2+, Ni2+ and Zn2+). Their structures were confirmed by elemental analysis, spectral and magnetic data. The solubility of metal (II)-azo complexes in 2, 2, 3, 3-tetrafluoro-1-propanol (TFP) and absorption properties of their films in the region 300-800 nm were measured. The influence on the difference of absorption maximum from metal (II)-azo complexes to azo ligand by different metal ions was studied. In addition, the thermal stability of metal (II)-azo complexes was also reported. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
