摘要
The title complex of neodymium(III) with 1,10-phenanthroline was synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis,IR,1H NMR and molar conductivity. The crystal structure was determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction.The results show that the title complex belongs to monoclinic system with space group C2/c and cell parameters are a=11.2602(18)nm,b=18.137(18)nm, c=13.1596(12)nm,alpha=90 degrees, beta=100.508 degrees,gamma=90 degrees,V=2.6425(6)nm(3),Z=4,Dc=1.736mg.m(3),mu=2.031mm(-1), F(000)=1364.The central Nd3+ ion is ten coordinated by six oxygen atoms of three nitrate anions and four nitrogen atoms of two 1,10-phenanthroline molecules through the mode of chelating bidentate.The complex exhibites a distorted octahedron geommetry.Weak C-H center dot center dot center dot O intermolecular hydrogen bonds and pi-pi stacking link the molecules into two-dimensional network.Meanwhile the interaction of the title complex with DNA was also investigated by electronic absorption spectroscopy and viscosity measurement. The intensity of maximal absorption peaks from absorption spectra of the complex was weakened with dropping DNA into the complex. The viscosity of DNA increaseed with the increase in the concentration of the complex.All of the results indicated that the complex was bound to DNA via intercalation
