Surface nitridation of the optical lead-silicate glasses

摘要
The paper deals with the influence of nitridation on the structure of surfase layer of the optical lead-silicate glass at temperatures near the glass transition temperature and surplus pressure. Applying the method of infrared spectroscopy of reflection and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy it was shown that modifying surfase layer structure by nitrogen causes partial depolymerization of lead-silicon-oxygenous network with the following formation of Si-N and Pb-N bonds. The presense of nitrogen in the structure of lead silicate glass surfase layer promotes more compact structure, higher degree of linkage in vitreous network, the formation of crosslinkings between chains.
